Jay and Pie Travels To Batam Indonesia: Turi Beach Resort!

3

It was our fifth year anniversary so my husband and I opted to make it extra special by travelling abroad. It’s our first time to travel without the kids so it’s like a second honeymoon (lol). We went to Nongsa, Batam, Indonesia.

The small Island of Nongsa

From Singapore, you need to take a 45-minute boat ride to get to Nongsapura Indonesia. We booked our tickets online at Batamfast.com, the round-trip ferry ticket cost  $92 for 2 pax.

Welcome to Turi Beach Resort!

After arriving at the Nongsapura ferry terminal, the free shuttle from Turi Beach Resort was already waiting for us outside the immigration counter! We were so excited! According to Trip Advisor and Agoda,Turi Beach is one of the best resorts in Nongsa.

Never miss the mandatory shot! The durian elephant is the resort’s trademark.

The lobby of the resort is huge and it has a view deck. You can roam around and admire the amazing view while waiting for the resort officers to confirm your booking .

BTW Turi Beach Resort is not cheap. It’s quite expensive. We spent 7-8k for the accommodation which includes a free lunch and refreshment upon arrival. If you are travelling on a budget, you can consider other resorts around Nongsa.

There are trees everywhere and monkeys too! Unfortunately, we haven’t seen any during our stay. It was very quiet in the resort and the ambience is relaxing.

See the figures? You can see lot’s of those around the resort. We had free lunch as it is part of the package that we availed.

The Satay was good, but the chicken was a bit dry and the pineapple juice tasted like a powdered juice drink. It’s a good thing I ordered Coke in can! It’s free nevertheless so its ok..

Burger and Fries..

We got hungry after 2 hours of swimming, so we decided to head back to the restaurant. We had Burger and Fries and Mie Goreng. The noodles and burger are delicious, but it’s expensive it cost us $19 plus $4 for a can of soda.(nothing is cheap in the resort arrrghh..)

The first pool was okay, nothing special. I’m more excited with the infinity pool because based on what I’ve read, it is the best spot in the resort! (and it really is)..

Waiting for the monkeys! haha

The water is clear and you can see small fishes swimming around the rock formations! During weekends the beach is crowded with tourists, it was weekdays when we went to the resort so we had the beach to ourselves! Another spot that you shouldn’t miss when you go to Turi Beach Resort is the jetty!
